This edition of Commerce Corner covers new Walmart app requirements, Amazon delivery metrics, UPS’s push for small business shippers, Shopify updates, and what’s new in Ordoro. We’re also introducing our new Shippo integration and sharing a customer note that made our day.

🔌 Walmart Sellers May Need to Reconnect Their Apps

Walmart is changing how third-party apps connect to seller accounts, and the old connection method has an expiration date. The good news: you probably don’t need to learn OAuth. The less-good news: ignoring a reconnect request could make October 1 more exciting than you’d like.

🕐 Amazon Is Watching the Clock Now

Getting an Amazon Business order there on the right day may no longer be enough. Starting September 30, seller-fulfilled orders face a new 90% Business Hour Delivery Rate requirement. Because apparently “delivered” now comes with office hours.

📦 UPS Wants More Small Business Shippers

UPS rolled out new tools aimed squarely at small and midsize businesses, including easier pickup management, faster shipment creation, and an updated mobile app. The tools are handy, but the bigger story may be that UPS really, really wants your packages.

🛒 Shopify Quietly Changed a Few Things

Not every Shopify update arrives with confetti and a keynote. Some just quietly make everyday annoyances a little less annoying. Recent changes touch edited-order taxes, customer account access, and collaborator permissions—the kind of stuff you may not notice until you need it.

🛠️ What’s New in Ordoro?

Sometimes the best product updates are the ones that remove a few clicks from something you do all day. This round brings improvements to batch shipping, automation, order management, and more—small changes designed to make a busy shipping desk feel a little less busy.

NEW INTEGRATION

ig news! Shippo is now integrated with Ordoro.

As your eCommerce business grows, shipping becomes just one part of a much bigger operational picture. Inventory has to stay accurate across every sales channel, warehouse teams need efficient pick, pack, and ship workflows, and customers expect fast delivery with timely tracking updates. At a certain point, shipping becomes more than printing labels. It becomes part of running your entire operation. That’s why we partnered with Shippo.

By bringing Shippo’s multi-carrier shipping platform directly into Ordoro, we’re giving merchants more shipping flexibility without changing the workflows they already rely on every day. Connect your Shippo account to access Shippo’s network of 40+ global carriers, use Shippo’s discounted shipping rates or your own negotiated carrier accounts, add Shippo Total Protection, and manage shipping alongside inventory, purchasing, warehouse operations, and fulfillment, all within Ordoro.

Whether you’re shipping 10 orders a day or 10,000, the goal is simple: give you more shipping options while keeping your operations connected from order to delivery.

CUSTOMER SHOUTOUT ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

One of our favorite things about hearing from customers is getting a glimpse into what matters most on the other side of the screen. This note especially made our day.

“The reason that the Ordoro support team are laps ahead of every other software team I’ve dealt with is your genuine interest in finding solutions. This comes with the ability to listen and the ability to think. Thank you for doing this so well — we really appreciate it. Our business is undoubtedly better because of your support.”

That’s exactly the kind of support we want to provide: not just quick answers, but thoughtful help from people who actually care about getting to the right solution.

We’re pretty proud of this team.  💚

That’s a wrap for this edition of Commerce Corner. From Walmart connection changes and Amazon delivery metrics to UPS’s SMB push, Shopify updates, and a new Shippo integration, there’s no shortage of moving parts in eCommerce right now.

Until next time, may your connections stay connected, your packages arrive on time, and your shipping options keep getting better.
