SXSW Logo

SXSW Interactive is known as the place to ‘preview the technology of tomorrow today.’  It attracts thousands to technophiles and entrepreneurs to the Texas capital every spring.  It is simply energizing to interact with so many brilliant people and attend inspiring talks.  Not to mention that it was the catalyst for Twitter and where Tim Ferriss launched his book The 4-Hour Workweek.

Being an Austin based tech start up in ecommerce, we at Ordoro are pretty much psyched when the rest of the world comes to our doorstep!  For 2014 we want to give back to this awesome community and we have put together a panel of eCommerce experts to discuss ‘How to Build Six Figure eCommerce Stores Today.’

In the past few years there has been a bit of a SXSW gap when it comes to ecommerce.  For such a fast growing segment of our economy that is expected hit $409 billion in 2013 according to eMarketer, it is surprising that there have been very few talks geared to entrepreneurs in this space.  We would like to change that by bringing some eCommerce love and real expertise to SXSW 2014.

Who are the experts?

Mark Hayes, Head of PR and Communications for Shopify, will bring great insight into the general trends of ecommerce and how thousands of merchants are succeeding on the Shopify platform.

Billy Murphy is a serial eCommerce entrepreneur who got started in 2011 and by the end of the year was running 20 eCommerce stores. Billy recently launched eComLab to help other entrepreneurs learn the ropes of the business.

Naruby Schlenker is one of the co-founders of Ordoro and will share her experience in helping small to medium online merchants streamline their shipping, drop shipping, and inventory management to compete with some of the bigger guys in the industry and succeed.

Andrew Youderian is a successful ecommerce entrepreneur and blogger at eCommerceFuel who will share his experience in launching and growing RightChannelRadios.com and TrollingMotors.net to a $1 million plus business.

All four panelists are passionate about eCommerce and entrepreneurship.  For more details check out our video submission and please consider voting for our panel to secure a spot in the 2014 lineup.
