Inspired by a swing set that they bought for their kids, Glenn and Lori Stockton launched a business on the side, doing wholesale distribution for a line of playground structure. In 1999, though the idea of ecommerce was still in its infancy, the couple decided to start an online store and put up about 600 products, which immediately began to sell! Within 6 months, they had quit their jobs and were working on this new business full time.
“We saw the promise of selling online, and being able to do so from our home office.” Today, Swing Set Mall is an established business with three separate online stores and a vast catalog of products.
